Terms of Service

Last updated July 17, 2026

Thanks for using Duka. We've tried to keep these terms short and readable. In plain words: use Duka sensibly, keep your own backups of anything important, and understand that we provide the software as-is and can't take on responsibility for losses that come from using it.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Duka (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're using Duka on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that organization. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Service.

2. Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use Duka.

3. Your content

Anything you add to Duka — your notes, tasks, calendar entries, meeting records, contacts, and other data (“Your Content”) — stays yours. We don't claim ownership of it. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you (for example, running search, generating summaries, or syncing with integrations you connect).

You're responsible for Your Content and for having the right to use it. Please don't use Duka to store or share anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else's rights.

4. Acceptable use

Please use Duka in good faith. Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or to other users' data, and don't use it to do anything illegal or harmful. We may suspend or close accounts that put the Service or other users at risk.

5. Third-party integrations

Duka can connect to third-party services you choose (for example, calendar, meeting, or issue-tracking tools). Those services are governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for how they operate, or for data you send to or receive from them. Connecting them is your choice.

6. AI features

Duka includes AI-assisted features (such as summaries, suggestions, and answers). AI output can be incomplete or wrong, so please treat it as a helpful draft rather than authoritative fact, and review anything important before acting on it. You're responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.

7. Availability & changes

We work to keep Duka running well, but we don't promise the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. Where practical, we'll try to give notice of significant changes.

8. Back up your data

While we take reasonable care of Your Content, please keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose. We can't guarantee against data loss, and you agree you're responsible for maintaining independent backups of important information.

9. Service provided “as is”

Duka is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be secure, or be free of errors or interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duka and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable costs (including legal fees) if a third-party claim arises from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms — to the extent the claim results from your actions.

12. Termination

You can stop using Duka at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity — will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use Duka after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
