Getting Started
This gets you from a blank workspace to something genuinely useful in a few minutes.
1. Connect your calendar
Go to Settings → Calendars and subscribe your calendar using its iCal link (every major calendar provider — Google, Outlook, Apple — can generate one). See Calendar & Scheduling for where to find that link.
Mark the calendar as work or personal — personal events still block time on your schedule, but they're kept visually distinct and don't count toward work analytics.
2. Set your working hours
Still in Settings → Calendars, set your workday start/end time and your daily hard cap (the most hours you want scheduled in a single day). Duka uses this to stop you from over-scheduling yourself — see Calendar & Scheduling for the details.
3. Create your first task
From Home or Tasks, hit New Task. Give it a title, optionally a date/time and duration, and save. It'll show up on your Home dashboard and on the Calendar timeline automatically.
4. Add a person or two
If you track relationships — customers, candidates, investors — visit People and add a record. You can also install the browser extension to save LinkedIn profiles directly into Duka while you browse.
5. Say hello to Oracle
Click the Oracle icon (or press Cmd+K) and ask it something about your workspace — "What's on my calendar tomorrow?" or "Summarize my last meeting with Acme Corp." See Oracle Assistant.
None of this is required in order — Duka doesn't force a setup wizard on you. Explore in whatever order matches how you actually work.
